Burial Records of Lenawee County Series:

Please note: The publication date on this series does NOT indicate the last burial dates in any of the cemeteries. Many times there is a lag time of several years between when we were last in a cemetery or accessed the records and when we actually get the book to the publisher. A publication date of 2006 may only include records of burials in the year 2004, for example.

The data is recorded in sections, and rows within the sections, not alphabetical. We do this to assist researchers who eventually hope to visit the burial place of their ancestors, and may have limited time for those visits. In conjunction with site maps included for each cemetery, our hope is that you will be able to "find" the burial plot of your ancestor in just a few minutes. Good luck.

Each book contains:
1.) Several maps of where each cemetery is located in the township.
2.) Photos of entrance of each cemetery.
3.) Site maps of each cemetery, showing the layout of the cemetery and where we started walking and recording the burials.

The map above shows the townships we have published Burial Records volumes for. Use the chart to assist with Village or City names, which township they lie in and if they have been published, colors for towns and map above are coordinated. Note: Adrian Township has no villages or towns other than the City of Adrian. We have published books for Adrian Township and Oakwood Cemetery IN the City of Adrian. The City of Adrian will have an additional volume containing other cemeteries that lie within the city limits.

Our Other Publications

Parish Register of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Hudson, Lenawee Co., MI. 1866 - 1905.
Includes direct and full transcriptions of: Family groups, Baptisms, Confirmations, Communcants, Marriages and Burials. This Parish Register was recently found and returned to Lenawee County. This is a direct full transciption from the original book. After transcription and publication, the original book was donated to the Hudson Museum, Hudson, Lenawee County, Michigan. The work IS indexed.
